India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycle India has finally unveiled its first electric scooter Suzuki e-Access . Along with this, the company has also launched an updated version of its bestselling petrol scooter Access 125. Through these two scooters, Suzuki has clearly shown its intentions in the Indian market and the country’s move towards electric mobility.

Suzuki e-Access: Stylish and future ready electric scooter

Suzuki’s first electric offering Suzuki e-Access has a completely new look and looks slightly different from the Access series. The sleek LED headlight and vertical LED DRL in its front give it a modern feel. The signal lights have been installed in the lower part of the front apron and halogen bulbs have been used in them.

The design has been made in such a way that it cuts through the air, i.e. attention has also been paid to aerodynamics. It has a fully digital color TFT display which will be equipped with many new features.

Not only this, e-Access gets features like smart key (keyless access), LED taillights, alloy wheels, front disc brake, and charging port behind the front apron. The scooter is powered by an LFP battery pack , which claims to give a range of 95 km on a single charge . Its top speed is 71 km/h and it also has a reverse mode along with three riding modes .

Access 125: Now even more powerful and stylish

At the same event, Suzuki has also launched the 2025 version of its most popular scooter Access 125 , which has a starting price of ₹ 81,700 (ex-showroom) . This update was awaited for a long time, and now the company has made it even more modern and user-friendly.

Talking about the design, the scooter now features slimmer headlights , smaller signal lamps and a new ‘U’ shaped front apron element . The side panels get more cuts and creases, which makes its look more muscular. The new fuel lid can now be opened with a remote, which further improves the user experience.

The engine has been tuned to meet Euro 5+ emission standards. Suzuki says that the low and mid range torque has improved, engine start up is smoother and mileage has increased by 1.4% . Apart from this, a rear brake lock system has also been provided.

Now the underseat storage in this scooter has been increased to 24.4 liters and information like weather and calendar will also be visible on the display through smartphone connectivity.

Suzuki has not only shocked the market by entering the electric segment, but has also upgraded the Access 125 so much that the competition has become more interesting. Now it remains to be seen how much trust the customers show in this double blast from Suzuki.
