Honda is a well-known two-wheeler manufacturer in the world, and its portfolio includes many powerful bikes that are not sold in India – the reason is cost and market demand. One of these bikes is the Honda CBR250RR, which was patented in India in early 2023. Now the 2025 version of this powerful bike has been introduced, in which some small but important changes have been made.
2025 Honda CBR250RR: Returns with powerful updates
If you are an old bike lover, you will remember that Honda CBR250R was once sold in India – a single cylinder quarter-litre bike. But the CBR250RR is a much more racing-focused and performance oriented machine. The presence of ‘R’ twice in its name is a guarantee that this bike is far ahead in speed and sportiness.

Patented in India, but launch not expected
The CBR250RR has been patented in India, but it seems that Honda has done it only to protect its design and technology – there are no concrete plans for the launch at the moment. However, this bike is quite popular among biking enthusiasts around the world. Now for 2025, Honda has updated it with a new look and some features.
Three new color options, know the price too
The new Honda CBR250RR will now be available in three colours. The Matte Buret Silver is priced at ¥902,000 i.e. approximately ₹5.32 lakhs. The Grand Prix Red and Pearl Glare White colour variants are priced at ¥940,500 i.e. approximately ₹5.55 lakhs.
What is special in design and features?
Its look is still as aggressive and aerodynamic – just like the company’s superbike CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. It has LED headlights and DRLs, ORVMs mounted on the fairing, sporty windscreen, LED indicators, sharp fuel tank, low-set clip-on handlebars, split seats and a full digital instrument cluster.
Talking about the suspension, there are golden shaded Showa USD telescopic forks (SFF-BP) at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is also provided with single-petal disc brakes on both wheels. The bike has 17-inch alloy wheels, 110mm front and 140mm rear tires, dual barrel exhaust and a 14.5-liter fuel tank. The bike weighs just 168 kg, which makes it even more agile.
Engine Performance:
Powering this pocket rocket is a 249cc parallel twin cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with 4 valves on each cylinder. This engine generates 42 PS of power at 13,500 RPM and 25 Nm of torque at 10,750 RPM. It also comes with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch and quick shifter – meaning full fun of track riding.
Will it be launched in India?
We expect Honda to launch Honda CBR250RR in India. If this happens, then this bike can give tough competition to bikes like Aprilia RS 457 and Yamaha R3. But at present the company has not made any official announcement in this regard.
Until then, all we can do is admire this amazing bike from a distance – and hope that Honda brings this amazing machine to India someday.
