Good news has arrived for the off-road bike lovers of India who have been waiting for many months. KTM has finally launched its global-spec 390 Adventure Enduro R in the Indian market. The price has been kept at ₹ 3,53,825 (ex-showroom). This variant is especially for those riders who want to enjoy real Dakar-style off-roading and for whom no compromise will be acceptable in terms of performance.
Earlier a light version of the KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R was launched
So far, KTM has sold a lighter, India-specific version of this bike in India. Its seat height was a little lower and the hardware was also a little simpler, so that more and more people could ride it. But, hardcore off-roaders did not like this. Their biggest complaint was the low suspension travel and low ground clearance, which was much better in the international model.
More ground clearance, more power to play
The global-spec KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R targetsall these shortcomings directly. It has 230mm of suspension travel on both front and rear (while the old Indian version had 200-205mm). At the same time, the ground clearance has been increased to 273mm, which is a full 19mm more than before. This means that now this bike will offer the same powerful off-roading capabilities in India as it offers in the rest of the world.

A machine made for the trails, not for the city
KTM has made it clear that this machine is for those riders who do not compromise when it comes to off-roading. Yes, its 890mm high seat may be a challenge for shorter riders, but in return you will get tremendous suspension movement and excellent clearance on the trail.
Same engine, same power
The rest of the mechanical package remains the same as the standard KTM 390 Adventure Enduro R. The single-cylinder engine delivers strong mid-range torque and excellent throttle response, making it reliable everywhere from trails to the open highway.
There was a lot of resentment in the bike community about the version that was launched in India earlier. Most people wanted the company to bring the same original global version, even if it was priced a little higher. KTM has now fulfilled that promise. The company now has options for riders who want an easy and affordable adventure bike, as well as those who are looking for a true, no-compromise off-road machine.
