Mahindra has once again made a big bet in the Indian SUV market. After the XUV700 and Alturas G4, now the company has launched its most premium electric SUV Mahindra XEV 9e. This SUV is ushering in a new era not only in terms of design but also in technology and performance.
Mahindra XEV 9e Look: Stylish and Modern
The XEV 9e is part of Mahindra’s new Electric Origin series, which has been launched along with the BE 6e. But while the BE 6e looks a bit small and youth-oriented, the XEV 9e completely creates the image of a mature, powerful and premium coupe SUV.
Its design is very bold and futuristic. Large LED DRLs, vertically placed headlamps, aerodynamic alloy wheels and sloping roofline give it a distinct identity on the road.

Not just outside, it’s special inside as well
The biggest surprise in the XEV 9e’s cabin is its triple screen layout, which is a first for any mainstream vehicle in India. This 43-inch curved display setup looks so premium that you will forget that you are sitting in an SUV.
Apart from this, it also has a 75-inch VisionX heads-up display, MAIA AI-based system, 16-speaker Harman Kardon’s 1400W sound system, and remote parking feature with Auto Park. And yes, Level 2+ ADAS is also provided, which makes its safety even more amazing.
Powerful battery and strong performance
The Mahindra XEV 9e vehicle has a tremendous power of 210 kW, which is equivalent to about 281 horsepower. Along with this, it produces a powerful torque of 380 Newton-meters. This SUV is so fast that it can achieve a speed of 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.8 seconds. Its large 79 kWh battery can travel a fantastic distance of up to 682 km on a single charge, as certified by ARAI. In the real world too, the company is promising a range of 500+ km.
Charging speed has also become superfast, thanks to the INGLO platform – 20% to 80% charging can now be completed in just 20 minutes.
Price and variants
Mahindra has this time used the term ‘packs’ instead of trim levels – like Pack 1, Pack 2 and Pack 3. Currently, the company has revealed the features of only Pack 1, which is priced at ₹21.90 lakhs (ex-showroom Chennai). On-road, this SUV can cost around ₹23.59 lakhs. Its delivery will start from the next quarter.
