Mercedes-AMG has once again showcased a perfect combination of luxury and performance. The powerful Mercedes AMG GT 63 and its even more extreme version GT 63 Pro have been launched in India . Their prices are equally impressive – the ex-showroom price of GT 63 is ₹ 3 crore and that of GT 63 Pro is ₹ 3.65 crore.
The deliveries of these supercars are going to start soon. The deliveries of the GT 63 model will start from the last quarter of 2025, while the GT 63 Pro model will be available to customers from the first quarter of 2026. After almost five years, after the first generation was discontinued in 2020, this supercar is now returning to the roads of India with the second generation. With this, AMG’s India portfolio has now reached 9 models.
Mercedes AMG GT 63 Features: At a Glance
Both these cars are powered by a hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that is so powerful that the sound alone will make your heart beat faster. In the GT 63, this engine produces 585hp and 800Nm of torque, while in the GT 63 Pro the tuning has been taken a little further – 612hp and 850Nm. Both the cars come with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and are equipped with a 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system.
The GT 63 accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. If the GT 63 Pro is fitted with Cup 2R tyres, it accelerates even faster, i.e. in 3.1 seconds. Special racing DNA in the GT 63 Pro
The GT 63 Pro not only has more power than the GT 63, but also gets improved engine cooling, bigger brakes, lighter alloy wheels and more grippy tyres. Mercedes-Benz India will also offer a special racing track experience so that you can feel the true power of this car on the track.
AMG CEO Michael Scheibe said that it has a “wet starter clutch” system of DCT gearbox, which is directly connected to the engine and replaces the earlier rear-wheel drive system. Its advantage is that the car gives better grip and stability in all weather conditions.
Now bigger, more attractive
The new-generation AMG GT 63 is larger than the previous version – it is now 182mm longer, 45mm wider and 66mm taller, while the wheelbase is also 70mm longer. The chassis is now shared with the AMG SL roadster, using lightweight yet strong materials such as aluminium, steel, magnesium and carbon-fibre.
Mercedes’ Active Ride Control suspension and rear-wheel steering (up to 2.5 degrees) are also standard.
Size and Dimensions:
- Length – 4728mm
- Width – 1984mm
- Height – 1354mm
- Wheelbase – 2700mm
- Wheels – 20-inch standard, 21-inch optional
There is a touch of Formula 1 in the design
The design of this car is reminiscent of the old times, but it also clearly reflects the modern style. The new Mercedes AMG GT 63 has bright and sharp LED headlights, which make it more attractive. The bumper has been completely redesigned, which gives the car an even more modern look. Its door handles are completely flat and stylish, which make the doors of the car special. The bumper and alloys of the GT 63 Pro give it an even more sporty look.
Mercedes says its “Active Aerodynamic Profile” is inspired by F1, which makes the car ‘stick to the road’ at high speeds – thanks to the Venturi effect. There’s also an automatic spoiler at the rear that works at five different angles.

A cocktail of technology and luxury in the interior
The cabin gets a 12.3-inch digital driver display and an 11.9-inch touchscreen that runs Mercedes’ MBUX infotainment system. It also gets a special AMG Performance menu that shows data such as power output, tyre pressure, engine temperature and traction.
There are also features like Nappa leather seats, wireless charger, 64-colour ambient lighting, Burmester surround sound system and dual-zone climate control.
Driving modes include Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual and Race. There is also a Drift Mode that sends power only to the rear wheels.
For the first time, the GT 63 will have a 2+2 seat layout – that is, now there are rear seats as well. On the other hand, the GT 63 Pro will come only in two-seater. Talking about the boot space, it can be increased to 675 liters by folding the rear seats – which is 110% more than the old model.
Who are you competing with?
The most direct competitor of this powerful Mercedes AMG GT 63 is considered to be the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS. But in terms of features and speed, this Mercedes seems to be more game changing.
If you are looking for the perfect combination of luxury, speed and technology, then the new AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro are made for you – provided you have a budget of above ₹ 3 crore.
