Royal Enfield Classic 650

Royal Enfield has introduced its new bike in India, fulfilling the long-standing demand of its fans. This bike is the Royal Enfield Classic 650, which people were eagerly waiting for. The first glimpse of this bike was shown at the EICMA Show 2024 last year and now it is ready to run on the roads of India. Its starting price has been kept at ₹ 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom) .

At first look, this bike looks very similar to the Classic 350, but it is bigger in size – as can be expected from its powerful engine and premium price tag.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Design: Nostalgia, New Style

Royal Enfield’s journey in the multi-cylinder segment began when it launched the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. After this, bikes like Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650 and Interceptor Bear 650 became part of this lineup. Now Classic 650 has joined this family – and given its looks and riding style, it can become the best-selling bike in the 500cc+ segment in the coming time.

The Classic 650 is a perfect next step for riders who are already fans of the Classic 350. Its design is similar to the 350 model but looks bigger and more muscular. Royal Enfield’s classic design has stood the test of time and that is why the company has not changed it much.

Nostalgia in design

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 gets the same drop-shaped fuel tank, which gives it a vintage look. Along with this, the circular LED headlights make it more attractive. The mudguards, side mirrors and front fork covers are also designed in retro style, which makes the bike classic and stylish.

The instrument cluster is also larger and in analog-digital format, including the Tripper Navigation screen. Its chassis and suspension parts are taken from the Super Meteor 650. It weighs 243 kg, making it the heaviest Royal Enfield bike ever.

It has 19-inch wire spoke wheels at the front and 18-inch at the rear. The suspension system has telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Dual disc brakes and dual channel ABS are available as standard. Its setup is designed for long and comfortable rides.

Powerful Engine, Smooth Riding Experience

The bike is powered by the same 648cc parallel twin oil-cooled engine that generates 46.4 bhp of power and 52.3 Nm of torque. It has a 6-speed gearbox and also has a slip and assist clutch. The cushy suspension and soft riding experience that is considered to be the hallmark of Royal Enfield is also retained in the Classic 650.

High expectations from Royal Enfield

Speaking at the launch, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director, Eicher Motors and CEO, Royal Enfield said, “The Classic 650 is not just a bike, it is a tribute to our glorious history. It is the perfect blend of design and performance. For those who love the spirit of the Classic 350 but want more power and performance, the Classic 650 is a dream bike.”

He further added, “This bike is built on Royal Enfield’s 650cc platform, which offers a perfect combination of powerful performance, classic design and great road presence. We are very excited to bring this iconic machine to India.”

If you want to be a part of Royal Enfield’s riding legacy and want something big, powerful and retro – the Classic 650 is made for you.
