Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid has now become even more powerful
Yamaha’s FZ series is known as ‘Lord Of The Streets’ in India. FZ has a unique identity on the roads due to its stunning looks, powerful performance and value for money price. The most spectacular bike of the FZ series, FZ-X, has been further improved in 2025. Now it has been given a powerful hybrid engine, which makes it more special than ever.
The new model is not only more stylish in appearance, but its features have also become quite advanced now. The special thing is that Yamaha has also retained the existing non-hybrid model, which is priced at ₹ 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). The new FZ-X hybrid bike has been launched in the market, which has been priced at Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). This price is Rs 20,000 more than the previous model.
A powerful combo of technology and style
The biggest change in this new model is its hybrid engine, which will help in giving more mileage. The bike now has a 149cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC 2-valve engine, which generates 12.4 PS of power and 13.3 Nm of torque. This engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and has the ability to charge the battery itself.
It has Smart Motor Generator (SMG) technology, which not only charges the battery but also gives torque boost to the bike , which provides slight extra power. Along with this, smart features like ‘Silent Start’ and ‘Engine Stop/Start’ have also been added to it.
TFT display and plenty of connectivity
The 2025 Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid features a new 4.2-inch color TFT instrument cluster, which includes premium features like Bluetooth connectivity, app support, music control and turn-by-turn navigation. Apart from this, the bike has also got a new Matte Titan color option, which makes it even more attractive.

Yamaha’s big announcement
Yamaha Motor India Group Chairman Itaru Otani said on this occasion, “The great response we received with the FZ-S Fi Hybrid in 2025 showed us how much demand there is for hybrid technology in India. Converting the FZ-X into a hybrid was the next natural step. We are confident that this update will give our customers a premium and practical experience.
He further added, “Yamaha has always believed in innovation by understanding the needs of its customers. The new FZ-X Hybrid is a great example of this thinking, which will redefine the future of two-wheeler mobility in India.”
